Money Making Secrets

Posted by SOTONYE AFIESIMAMA on November 2, 2012 in Personal Development |

There are more important things in life than making money but everyone needs it to survive. So if you have to go through the trouble of making it, you might as well go all the way and make lots of it.

Contrary to what you might have heard, it’s actually not that much more difficult or time-consuming than having a regular job. You just need to do things a little differently from everyone else; the right information will help you achieve this.

Most people assume that getting a university education gives them the license to become comfortable financially but are usually in for a shock when after graduating, struggle to make ends meet; in the meantime, the ‘uneducated’ seem to get along very well in business.

Have you wondered why this is so? One of the reasons is enthusiasm which they have in abundance; sometimes, I think the educational system is so theoretical that it freezes our minds and robs most of us of the enthusiasm needed to thrive in the real world.

In addition to being enthusiastic, you must be willing to get in first. Be pre-emptive. Have you noticed what the difference is in wages between the best in the world in any sport and the second best? Here’s a little assignment: type in 212 degrees Fahrenheit – the movie on YouTube and you’ll see what I mean. Amazing isn’t it?

What’s your financial freedom figure? Do you know how much you need to make to escape the ‘rat race’? If you don’t, then you’ll make the process very, very long indeed! Ever driven to another city you’ve never been without the aid of a map or Sat Nav? How did it go? It’s exactly the same with making money.

The relationship between effort and reward in the real world is in most cases not a linear one; sometimes you get paid a pathetic wage for doing a lot of work and at other times you get paid a fortune for doing very little work. In most cases, it’s the former rather than the latter. Unfair? Well, life is hardly fair is it? C’est la vie.

First impressions are also vital to your success in any venture. What are your expectations for yourself? If you want to become a millionaire, you’ll need to act like one to be one or else your journey will be a lot longer than necessary. I’m not saying you should lie about your wealth. What you must do is adopt the millionaire attitude; one of these is being cool, calm and collected.

Having a confident mien in the way you approach people; wearing well-ironed but not necessarily expensive clothes and generally trying your best to look and act like a successful individual. After all, it all begins with your mind-set.

Have you seen the TV programme Wife Swap? If you haven’t this is how it works: two families come together for two weeks and basically swap wives; one family is usually not as wealthy as the other. In fact sometimes their disparateness is as huge as night and day and of course the more different they are, the more conflict ensues, the higher the viewing figures and the more money the TV station responsible makes.

That’s by the way, by the way! The point I was trying to make is that you can immediately see why the wealthy family is financially well-off; they are better organized than the less well-off family! No one makes money by being disorganised; so, to get wealthyget organized. There’s no way around this.

The wealthy have success because they know their niche market and tailor their products and services to this niche. If you’re in information publishing for instance, no amount of hot copywriting skills will be effective if your message goes to those not sold on your idea. Try selling golf balls to a footballer who has no interest in golf whatsoever and you have a very tough job on your hands.

Property tycoon and best-selling author Robert Kiyosaki thinks he has discovered what he calls ‘the perfect business’. He must know what he’s talking about after over 3 decades as an entrepreneur. I have also very recently realized this too and have thrown myself in without looking back. It’s a business that develops the whole person; personal development is essential here for success.

It’s a business where more millionaires are being made every day than in any other sector. Network marketing has been called the business of the future and is being embraced by millions of people worldwide because of the enormous leveraging power in this business model. I would strongly recommend you get yourself a copy of The Parable of the Pipeline by Burke Hedges (available on Amazon) to appreciate the massive potential in this industry.

If you do decide to adopt this as your business model, don’t forget to implement all the points I’ve made in this article or you will struggle to succeed. Whatever business model you’ve adopted or plan to adopt, do it right and you’ll save yourself years of unnecessary stress.

Thanks for reading.

Take care; take action.
